On Iraq.

We drove past our neighborhood church, Pullen Memorial Baptist today. Facing the traffic on Hillsborough Street is a sign reading, "Remember the Human Toll." Underneath are the death and casualty tolls for American troops, coalition troops, and Iraqi civilians.

Brothers and Sisters, these numbers are astounding. As if any lesser number would be more forgiving, less bone-chilling, or justified.

I can't even come up with some logical stance on any of it. We have created such an amazingly horrifying mess.

Along with most sane Americans, I marched against it. I am incredibly sad, outraged, embarrassed, and betrayed by our country, because WE ENTERED ANYWAY. And we fucked up.

Send in more troops?

Fuck that.
