My (Surprising) Love Affair with...
I am absolutely infatuated with pottery right now. It's somewhat surprising that I can't get my mind of this work, as I've never been very interested in clay. I suppose I've always associated the medium with dark/heavy/more traditional work, which just isn't my thing.

Return: Penland
Just got back from a gallery trip to Penland School of Crafts and some surrounding artists. What a different experience than taking a class.
More to follow (including some pictures of work I saw and loved), but right now thoughts:
1. Quite strange to go back to a place you've lived, worked, and studied, and see a whole new cast of people.
2. Wonderful to be inspired (again) by all that Penland has to offer: amazing people, killer work, and oh, the landscape!
3. My biggest question and concern: Why aren't I making work?
